Welcome to the website of « Out of the Scriptures », a Dutch Bible study site. We have made it our mission to promote studying the Scriptures concordantly, and to make once again known the Great Mystery revealed by our Lord to the apostle Paul, who brought this amazing message to the world.

In the years 1920 to ± 1960, Mr. G.J. Pauptit and S. Van Mierlo published a magazine, called « Out of the Scriptures ». (In Dutch « Uit de Schriften », the name of this site). They have committed themselves, among other things, to once again reveal the Great Mystery revealed to Paul. Apart from that, honest concordant study and real acceptance of Scripture is what they stood for. They did not form a church, sect, or other group, have always stood on their own and have been fought against by fire and sword. You can read the English « Manifest » here.

We fully support this honest concordant study method and real acceptance of Scripture and for this reason have decided to continue « Out of the Scriptures ». Explaining Scripture with Scripture and not from traditions, systems, dogmas or « church » teachings — however difficult this may be — is also our goal. We are not Pauptit, Van Mierlo, Bullinger or anyone else's « supporter », we support the Living God and His Word. All studies however, that have been done in concordant fashion, out of the Scriptures, have our interest and these we list here.

We have also set ourselves the goal of preserving the works of the old « Uit de Schriften » (Out of the Scriptures) and making them available. Since 2017 we are translating them into English. For anyone who wants to do a serious Bible study we think a « must have ».
From now on you can order the books from « Out of the Scriptures » — at cost price — via lulu.com, or download for free to your PC (for an e-book reader, PDF files are not really suitable).

All documents published by us are therefore intended to encourage the reader to examine for himself and not as « doctrine ». We do not proclaim a « doctrine », do not form a group, are not a « church », are not a sect, or any other entity. We do not proclaim the truth, not the « true doctrine ». The only truth and true teaching is in the Holy Scriptures themselves, everything else is human work.
What we are trying to do by God's grace is to encourage you as a reader to return to the core of God's Word and to switch off narrative and human thoughts as much as possible — preferably completely. Here study material made by human hands can be very useful, but it must never be elevated to a « doctrine ».

Please note that this site is transferring to the English language some of what we offer about the Great Mystery is also available in English on the website of Charles Welch and on Heaven Dwellers. Some of the works are however unique and we have translated them into English. See the English section of the Menu on the left and the English section on the Download Page.

Welkom op de Uit de Schriften bijbelstudie website, ons doel is het bestuderen van de Heilige Schriften op concordante wijze — èn om nógmaals in deze aioon « de Grote Verborgenheid » te verkondigen.

In de jaren ± 1920 tot ± 1960 hebben de heren G.J. Pauptit en S. Van Mierlo een tijdschrift uitgegeven, onder de naam « Uit de Schriften ». Zij hebben zich o.a. ingezet om de Grote Verborgenheid aan Paulus geopenbaard wederom bekend te maken. Behalve dat, is eerlijk concordante studie en reële aanvaarding van de Schrift wat zij voor stonden. Zij vormden geen kerk, sekte, of andere groepering (zie U.d.S. « Manifest »), hebben altijd op zichzelf gestaan en zijn overigens te vuur en te zwaard bestreden.

Wij staan volledig achter deze eerlijke concordante studie methode en reële aanvaarding van de Schrift en hebben om die reden besloten om « Uit de Schriften » voort te zetten. Schrift met Schrift verklaren en niet vanuit overleveringen, stelsels, dogma's of « kerk » leer — hoe moeilijk dit ook mag zijn —, is ook onze doelstelling. Wij zijn overigens geen Pauptit, Van Mierlo, Bullinger of wie dan ook « aanhanger », wij hangen de Levenden God en Zijn Woord aan. Alle studies die uit de Schriften op concordante wijze zijn gedaan, hebben echter onze interesse en deze geven wij hier weer.

Tevens hebben wij ons ten doel gesteld om de werken van het oude « Uit de Schriften » te conserveren en beschikbaar te stellen en tevens sinds 2017 te vertalen naar het Engels. Voor een ieder die serieus bijbelstudie wil doen o.i. een « must have ».
Vanaf nu kunt u de boeken van « Uit de Schriften » — tegen kostprijs — bestellen via lulu.com, of gratis downloaden (Nu ook als Setup programma) om op uw PC of Tablet (voor een e-bookreader zijn PDF bestanden niet echt geschikt) te lezen. Alle — als boek verschenen — titels in ons bezit zijn nu beschikbaar.

Alle door ons gepubliceerde stukken, zijn dan ook bedoeld om de lezer aan te zetten zèlf te onderzoeken en niet als « leer ». Wij verkondigen geen « leer », vormen geen groep, zijn geen « kerk », zijn geen sekte, of welke andere éénheid dan ook. Wij verkondigen niet de waarheid, niet de « ware leer ». De enige waarheid en ware leer staat in de Heilige Schriften zelf, al het andere is mensenwerk.
Wat wij bij Gods gratie proberen te doen, is u als lezer aan te zetten om terug te keren tot de kern van Gods Woord en overlevering en menselijke gedachten zoveel mogelijk — liefst helemaal — uit te schakelen. Hierbij kan studie materiaal door mensenhanden gemaakt zeer nuttig zijn, het mag echter nooit tot « leer » worden verheven.

Wij nodigen u dan ook uit om te zijn als de Bereërs « ...met alle toegenegenheid, onderzoekende dagelijks de Schriften, of deze dingen alzo waren. » Handelingen 17:11

De grote verborgenheid is een door weinigen geziene sfeer van zegening en betreft de grootste genade die God kan geven. In het menu links kunt u een studie hierover lezen en onderzoeken.
